We’ve been offering basic glamping and camping at Druridge Bay for a few years now and each year we try to make is a bit more special.
Our plans for 2017 are now in motion and this is what we have in store for the next year…
Glamping in the meadow proved popular in 2016 and guests loved being close to the ponds with all the wildlife, and those sunset’s. Jen Littlebirdie in particular enjoyed it and wrote this lovely blog about her stay.
Our new compost loos worked well but we did have one or two issues with the outdoor showers! So next year we are installing ‘proper’ showers at the farm for use by both glampers and campers. It means a short walk to the farm but fear not, there are plans to keep your other half busy while you shower…
Finally there will be a kitchen shed so you can cook inside in bad weather.
We will still have the ever so popular Bell Tents (with a few upgrades there too) and the Shepherd’s Hut (also getting a few extras) but this year we have our very own Horsebox Hideaway, a converted vintage horse trailer called Herbert, who has a few special features of his own! Read more about Herbert here. We are also looking into the feasibility of Beach Pods, more coming soon.
We are also delighted to be welcoming back The Old Dog & Duck as our Resident’s Bar, The OD&D made a brief appearance at the end of 2016 and will be a regular feature in 2017. So when the other half is in the shower, come and grab a pint or glass of wine while you ‘mind the bags’.
We look forward to welcoming guests in 2017 and will be taking bookings from the end of November.
