Barn on The Bay Wedding Open Weekend
Saturday 18th March – Sunday 19th March 2017
Did you know that you can get married at Hemscott Hill? Calico Barn is now a licensed wedding venue and we have regular ‘Open Days’ planned where the barn will be dressed for couples to see how it will look on their big day.
We also invite you to come and look around the Barn at other times (we know you can’t wait!) but we do ask that you make an appointment as we run a busy farm and other farm ventures so we’re not always around.
Stargazing at Druridge Bay
Saturday 25th March 2017 7-11pm (Fully Booked)
To celebrate becoming a Stay & Gaze Accommodation Provider we are holding a series of Dark Skies Evenings at Druridge Bay. Join us while we dim the lights and look to the skies with our resident astronomer, Simon Rowland.
Simon, a qualified astronomer, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and published astrophotographer will help you find your way around the night sky with a guided stargazing experience and astronomy presentations, as well as giving guidance on buying and using telescopes and binoculars and astrophotography.
We will be joined by The Old Dog and Duck mobile horsebox bar which will be open throughout the evening for you to enjoy a tipple or mulled wine. Hot soup and stew will be available for a small charge.
The event will still go ahead if the weather is not suitable and Simon will give a talk and demonstration in Calico Barn’s cosy lounge instead.
Rooms and beds are available in Calico Barn from £25 per person including a light breakfast if you don’t want to drive home. Please ask for details or book at www.druridgebay.com
